Staff Schedules

Workshops are 50 min please.

Give out tons of O’Rama Cup Points here (not until the event starts)

Registration:
– Please check in and get your wristband.  Don’t just run past the door people.
– Agree to our Policies/Waivers/Code of Conduct at Swingdancer.org to save yourself time at the door. For liability and insurance purposes you must sign prior to entering the event.
– We use Swing Reports & Restorations for the reporting of safety concerns/incidents of any magnitude regarding Jack & Jill O’Rama 2026 prior to, during, or after the event.
– Did you tell me the name of your significant other and did they create a SwingDancer account so I can add their pass?

Staff/Judges meeting at
– 6:00pm on Friday in Hospitality Suite so I can go over a bunch of important stuff (see below for room# so you actually read stuff).
– Tablet training at 5pm Friday in DJ Booth/Scoring Corner. We use SwingDancer/Paul Stoddard’s tablet judging system.

The App:
– Download the SwingDancer App (AndroidIphone)
– Heat sheet, semis, finals and updates.
– Add/subtract O’Rama Cup points from regions via the App. Click where it says Carlito Challenge (it takes you to a swingdancer.org page were you’ll need to login).  Please use/overuse/borderline abuse this power. (won’t be live until the event starts)

Attire/Vibe:
– Casual and fun

Staff Lounge, Pro 30/30 Hour, Asking Pros to Dance:
– Trying some things to make staff feel less hunted in the ballroom.  Check it out here.  I’ll talk more about it at the meeting.

Do you have a dog with you?
– We have Melissa Etcheverry on staff to help with people’s dog care needs like she does at several events. Message me and I’ll add you to the Facebook thread for coordinating with her.

Disney

Private Lesson Space:
– We will have 4 rooms upstairs available for private lessons the whole weekend.  This space is not mentioned on the schedule.
– The Regal (by registration) & Terrace (down the hall) rooms are available for private lesson space when NOT IN USE on the schedule but they are getting used a lot this year. Please do NOT teach privates in there during scheduled social dancing in those rooms.

Chiropractor
– Jess Greene (quite possibly the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to) doesn’t have a booth this year but is still available to the event staff.
Click here to get on her schedule…she’s just doing Thursday and Sunday evening.
– Chiro, Manual Therapy, KT Taping, B12 shots
– She’s not cheap but she is AWESOME.
– A friend of hers will also have a booth at the event with more availability

Hospitality
– We’ll have snacks, quick bites, sandwich stuff, and drinks, then dinner food on Friday & Saturday
– Friday dinner will be TBA and will be out at 5:30pm for 2 hrs (leftovers will be put in fridge after)
– Saturday dinner will be TBA and will be out at 7:00pm for 2 hrs (leftovers will be put in fridge after)
– My mom is going to being the one looking after the room.  You’ll still be able to access it even if she’s asleep, but her room will be attached so try to be reasonably quiet.
– There is a lock box with the key on the door, code is TBA
